| Currently my truck has headers. They're not coated, and i think they were originally painted. Of Course, this made no differance. Right now they're rusty and ugly. Since Coated Headers are so expensive, the option of Wrapping the headers has come to me. I've also Heard that wrapping them can improve performance and Decrease heat output. What's the REAL DEAL. Is this a valid arguement? Should i wrap em or not? I'm going to buy new headers and those would be the ones that i would wrap, but i'm not gonna spend the money for coated. |

| I have had really some experience with wrapped headers. I noticed a dramatic difference in lowered underhood tempertures. I two will not buy coated headers as the price tag is out of my range. However I did strip the factory paint off and recoated them with DEI silicon header paint. It will not burn off like the factory paint. After the header paint cured I wrapped them and painted the wrap with the DEI paint to protect the wrap from rotting from moisture. |
