I am trying to replace the ball joints on a 1990 caprice (9c1). I already have the control arms off. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Are you running into a specific problem?

Did you get the ball joints to separate yet? Make sure to use a spring compressor if you haven't taken them off yet.

I just got the frame back from being powder coated, so every thing is off. What i wanted to do is strip the upper & lower control arms so they can be powder coated also. Thanks

Frame looks great!

To get the ball joints off the control arms you'll need someone with a hydraulic press or an air chisel. The ball joints are 'press fit' into the control arms and need to be forced out by a hydraulic press or someone can use an air chisel to repeatedly "hammer" against the body of the old ball joints to separate them from the control arm. Only problem with the air chisel method is the install process. The removal will scar up the old ones which won't matter, but it will also scar up the new ones if you use the chisel to install. Would be best to press in the new ones with a hydraulic press.
